INDIANAPOLIS - IU Indy men's swimming and diving earned two of the Horizon League's top postseason honors as
Logan Kelly was named the Horizon League Swim and Dive Athlete of the Year and
Yassin Abdelghany was voted as the Horizon League Swim and Dive Newcomer of the Year, the league office announced.

Kelly, a graduate student from Austin, Minn., continues to cement his place in program history with a standout season at the national level. He became the first men's swimmer in IU Indy history to score points at the NCAA Championships, earning Second Team All-America honors with an 11th-place finish in the 100 breaststroke. Kelly touched the wall in a lifetime-best 51.24, placing among the nation's elite in a field of 38 competitors.

He also competed in the 200 breaststroke at the NCAA Championships, finishing 18th overall with a time of 1:52.41, narrowly missing a spot in the top 16. Kelly qualified for the national meet after breaking his own Horizon League Championship record in the 200 breast, posting a winning time of 1:52.21. This marks the second time Kelly has earned Horizon League Athlete of the Year honors, previously receiving the award in 2023.

Abdelghany, a junior from Alexandria, Egypt, made an immediate impact in his first season with the Jaguars, earning Newcomer of the Year accolades after a record-breaking performance at the Horizon League Championships. A three-time NCAA Championships qualifier, Abdelghany was named the Horizon League Championships Men's Swimmer of the Meet after setting three league championship records.

In the 50 freestyle, Abdelghany set a new championship record in the prelims with a 19.12 before surpassing it in the finals with an NCAA qualifying time of 18.91 to claim the league title. He continued his dominance in the 100 butterfly, breaking the championship record with a time of 45.23 to earn another title and NCAA berth.

Abdelghany capped his historic meet by setting his third Horizon League Championship record in the 100 freestyle, clocking an NCAA qualifying time of 42.28 to secure his third individual title and another trip to the NCAA Championships.
