IUPUI PUSHES WIN STREAK TO THREE, TAKES DOWN UIC 71-43.

The Jags finished with three in double-figures, led by sophomore Katelyn O'Reilly with 16.

INDIANAPOLIS –
IUPUI earned its third-straight win with a 71-43 victory over UIC on Saturday (Jan. 19). Three Jaguars scored in double figures as IUPUI lead from the tip to improve to 11-7 overall and 5-2 in Horizon League play.

IUPUI was led by Katelyn O'Reilly who scored 16 points on 7-for-10 shooting. Macee Williams added 15 points, hitting 6-for-9 from the floor and Sydney Roule found her stroke from deep going 4-for-6 from behind the arc for 12 points.

For the game, IUPUI shot 43 percent from the field and hit 38 percent (9-for-24) from the three point line. The Jags did most of their damage in the first half hitting 58 percent (18-for-31) from the floor and 55 percent (6-for-11) from deep as the Jags held a halftime margin of 44-22 over UIC (3-15, 1-6 Horizon).

IUPUI assisted on 19 of their 29 field goals in the game, led y five from Agatha Beier. Williams and Holly Hoopingarner each finished with four.

The Jags dominated on the glass over the Flames, pulling down 45 rebounds to just 26 and IUPUI turned 20 offensive boards in to a 20-5 advantage in second chance points. Williams and Allex Brown led the Jags with seven rebounds apiece, with Williams leading the team with four offensive boards. O'Reilly grabbed six boards for Austin Parkinson's squad.

Right out of the gates, IUPUI took control of the game with eight-straight points. The game started with a three by Sydney Hall and then Williams took over with a jumper and a three-point play. The quarter ended with the Roule hitting back-to-back threes to put the Jags up 24-10.

The run continued in the second with a layup by Sims and two more threes by Roule. After another three-point play by Williams, the Jags had scored 17-straight points to push their lead to 35-10. The Jags hit their biggest lead of the half at 28 points after a jumper by Hall and layup from O'Reilly.

IUPUI began the second half with a 12-0 run that featured back-to-back threes from Williams and Hoopingarner and saw its lead balloon to a game-high 34.

The Jags won their third-straight game by at least 28 points and all five Horizon League wins by the Jags have been by at least 22 points. IUPUI has also scored at least 70 points in all five league wins. The last time IUPUI has scored at least 70 points in five-straight wins was in 2013-14 when the Jags reeled of eight-straight, during a nine-game winning streak.

IUPUI will hit the road for their next four games as the first half of the Horizon League schedule ends next weekend when the Jags play at Milwaukee on Thursday (Jan. 24) at 8 ET and Green Bay on Saturday (Jan. 26) at 2 ET.
