CHICAGO, Ill. – IUPUI's women's tennis team picked up a win against Marian but dropped a Horizon League matchup with UIC on the road on Saturday (April 7).
 
In a home match against the Knights on Friday (April 6), IUPUI (4-14, 0-5 Horizon) made quick work in the 7-0 win. All three Jaguars doubles teams won their matches 6-2 to earn the doubles point.
 
In singles play, #Mariella Pessina# and #Molly Nguyen# each won 6-0, 6-0 and #Krystal Grubb# and #Marina Schneiger# took their matches by the score of 6-2, 6-0.
 
#Valeriia Lavrenchuk# earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles and #Samantha Mayer# earned a clean sweep for the Jags with a three set win, 6-2, 4-6, 10-4.

Things did not go as well for IUPUI as the Jags continued conference play at UIC, finding themselves on the wrong side of a 7-0 score.
 
The Jags dropped the doubles point losing the No. 2 and No. 3 matches. In singles play, IUPUI only earned one game point in the No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 matches.
 
Pessina took her No. 3 singles match to three sets but eventually fell, 6-2, 3-6, 10-3.
