WOMEN'S TENNIS TO HOST MARIAN, TRAVEL TO UIC

The Jaguars will play one more home match before making the trip to Chicago to continue Horizon League play.

INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI women's tennis will play one more non-conference home match before heading on the road to continue Horizon League play this weekend.
 
The Jaguars (3-13, 0-4 Horizon) will host Marian at 8 a.m. on Friday (April 6) at the West Indy Racquet Club before traveling to UIC on Saturday (April 7).
 
IUPUI has dropped their last 10 matches, the most recent a 2-5 loss against Northern Kentucky. #Samantha Mayer# earned a singles win against the Norse to move her record to 5-9 on the year.
 
The team of #Krystal Grubb# and #Mariella Pessina# teamed up for the first time this spring over the weekend and took both matches against Wright State and Northern Kentucky.
 
SCOUTING MARIAN
Marian comes in to the match with the Jags with an impressive 15-2 record and is winners of six-straight matches.
 
All six singles spots are over .500 on the season with the No. 3 spot holding an impressive 15-1 record.
 
Maria Angela Sunga boasts the top record for Marian with a 13-1 overall record, including a 5-0 mark at No. 1 and an 8-1 mark at No. 3 singles.
 
SCOUTING UIC
The Flames come in to the weekend with a 9-6 overall record and a 3-1 mark in Horizon League play. UIC has won two-straight with wins over Northern Kentucky and Valparaiso.
 
The back half of the lineup has been the most successful for UIC as the Flames are 31-14 in spots 4-6.
 
Viktoria Seifert is the hottest Flame having won her last seven matches and is 8-1 overall this spring season. Seifert is 5-0 at the No. 5 spot.
