INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI women's tennis will begin its final week of the season with its last non-conference match of the year.
The Jags will play host to Notre Dame on Wednesday (April 18) at 5:30 p.m., at the West Indy Racquet Club. It marks the first time that IUPUI will have played the Fighting Irish.
IUPUI dropped its last two matches, falling to UIC and Milwaukee. Against the Panthers, #
Samantha Mayer# picked up her seventh singles win of the season, winning the No. 3 match 6-0, 7-5.
The Jags also earned one doubles win, with the duo of #
Krystal Grubb# and #
Mariella Pessina# winning the No. 2 match 6-4.
SCOUTING NOTRE DAME
The Fighting Irish come in to the match with a 10-12 overall record and a 2-10 mark in ACC play. Notre Dame has lost nine-straight matches with the last win coming against Virginia Tech on March 16.
The best spot in the lineup for Notre Dame is the No. 6 spot with a 15-6 overall record. Ally Bojczuk holds a 12-6 overall record with a 9-2 mark at No. 6. The worst spot in the lineup is the NO. 1 spot where the Fighting Irish are a combined 8-13.
