INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI's bid for a sweep over Cleveland State was denied as the Vikings scored three runs in the top of the sixth to take the game 7-4.

The Jags (12-24, 8-9 Horizon) got on the board early as
Mandy Dallas crushed a two-out home run over the left field fence to put IUPUI up 2-0.

Cleveland State took the lead, getting to starter
Megan Overton, hitting a one-out grand slam to take the 4-2 lead.

That lead quickly evaporated as Dallas hit her second home run of the game, and seventh of the year, with another bomb over the left field fence to tie the game.

Overton was replaced by
Kristin London in the top of the fourth after finishing her 19
th inning of the weekend.

London managed to get through the fourth and the fifth inning without any trouble but the Vikings got to London in the sixth. With one out, two runners reached and were doubled home to make it 6-4. Another double pushed the Vikings lead to 7-4.

Outside of Dallas' two hits, London also finished with a single, as well as
Sabrina Trevino and
Delilah Wright.

IUPUIs next game will be on the road at former Summit League foe Fort Wayne on Wednesday (April 18) at 3 p.m. The Jags next Horizon League games will also be on the road as IUPUI will travel to play Oakland on Friday (April 20) and Saturday (April 21).
