INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI women's tennis dropped both of its Horizon League matches over the weekend, losing to Wright State and Northern Kentucky.
 
IUPUI (3-13, 0-4 Horizon) began the weekend against Wright State on Saturday (March 31). The Jags picked up a doubles match win at the No. 2 spot as #Krystal Grubb# and #Mariella Pessina# won 6-4 but Wright State won at No. 1 and No. 3 to earn the doubles point.
 
The Raiders swept the singles matches, winning all six matches in straight sets to beat the Jags 7-0.
 
On Sunday (April 1), The Jags looked for a win against Northern Kentucky and took the doubles point winning all three matches. #Valeriia Lavrenchuk# and #Samantha Mayer# won the No. 1 match 7-5. Grubb and Pessina won the No. 2 match 7-6 (7-4) and #Marina Schneiger# and #Molly Nguyen# won 6-3 at No. 3.
 
Singles matches were not as successful for the Jags as Northern Kentucky won five of the six matches to take the match. Mayer earned the only Jaguar point in singles play winning the No. 4 match in three sets, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.
 
IUPUI will have a home match on Friday (April 6) against Marian at 8 a.m. before traveling to UIC on Saturday (April 7) at 11 a.m.
