DAYTON, Ohio - Maddy Keeley's run on an error in the top of the seventh gave the Jags a split of Friday's double header with Wright State.

IUPUI (7-17, 3-2 Horizon) lost game one of the day 1-0 but battled for a 6-5 win in the second game of the day.

GAME 1: WRIGHT STATE 1, IUPUI 0
Â
The first game of the day was a pitchers' dual as the teams combined for just one run on nine hits.
Â
Wright State (9-17, 3-2 Horizon) scored the lone run of the game in the bottom of the first after a lead-off double and a single two batters later.
Â
Megan Overton (6-8) picked up the loss despite her third-straight outing only giving up one run. Overton threw six innings allowed just four hits, one run and struck out three, while only walking one batter.

The Jags had multiple chanced getting the tying run across the plate as
Delainey Turner got to third in the bottom of the third but a groundout by
Haley Ginger stranded the runner.

In the fourth,
Delilah Wright singled and ended up on third later in the inning but once again was left 60 feet from home. The Jags put runners on second and third with only one out in the fifth but a ground out and fly out kept IUPUI scoreless.

GAME 2: IUPUI 6, WRIGHT STATE 5

Maddy Keeley scored the winning run in the top of the seventh to give the Jags a split of the day with the Raiders.
Â
Keeley tripled to begin the top of the seventh and Megan Overton followed by getting hit by a pitch. Delilah Wright reached on a fielder's choice that still kept runners at the corners.

After Wright stole second, Haley Ginger grounded out to the pitcher but a fielding error by Wright State's second baseman allowed Keeley to cross the plate.

Overton picked up the win after throwing the last two innings in relief for
Dezirae Leonard who threw the first five innings and allowed four earned runs on eight hits. Overton finished off the game allowing just one hit, one walk and striking out one.

Wright State got on the board early with a run in the first and the third but IUPUI took its first lead of the game after a three-run home run by
Mandy Dallas. Dallas' blast came after Ginger reached on an error and
Kristin London walked. It was Dallas' third home run of the season.

Wright State tied the game in the bottom of the fourth with a single but the Jags answered.

With two outs in the top of the fifth, Overton drew a two-out walk and moved to second on a wild pitch. Wright singled to short and a throwing error allowed Overton to score and moved Wright to second. Wright would score in the next at bat on a Ginger single.

The lead didn't last long as Wright State tied the game in the bottom of the fifth.

Ginger and Dallas both finished with two hits each on the day as IUPUI scored the most runs they have put on the board in their last 12 games.

IUPUI will finish its series with Wright State with a single game on Saturday beginning at 12 p.m.
