DAYTON, Ohio – IUPUI's women's tennis team fell to the Dayton Flyers by a score of 5-0 on Sunday afternoon (Feb. 18).
The duo of
Valeriia Lavrenchuk and
Krystal Grubb got back to their winning ways at the No. 1 doubles spot, bouncing back from a loss in their last match with a 6-2 win to increase their season record as a team to 7-1. Dayton would take the doubles point, winning the other two matches.
In singles play, Dayton closed out the match winning four matches in straight-sets. Lavrenchuk and
Samantha Mayer both had their matches go unfinished after both players ended up in three set matches.
IUPUI (3-5) will be on the road for its next four matches, starting with Belmont on Friday (Feb. 23).
