INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI's women's tennis team fell to cross-town foe University of Indianapolis 8-1 on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 17).
The Jags (3-4) only win came at the No. 5 singles spot as
Marina Schneiger earned a straight-set win, 7-6 (6-3), 6-2. Schneiger earned her second win of the season with the victory.
For the first time this season the team of
Valeriia Lavrenchuk and
Krystal Grubb lost a doubles match, falling at the No. 1 spot 8-3.
Despite falling in her match, Lavrenchuk was the only Jag to go three sets, falling 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.
IUPUI stays on the road this weekend with a road match at Dayton on Sunday (Feb. 18) with the match starting at 12 p.m.
