ROSEMONT, Ill. – IUPUI's offense was shut down on Sunday (Feb. 11) as the Jags were shutout by Loyola (Ill.) in a 4-0 loss.
IUPUI (1-4) only managed three hits on the day, coming from
Mandy Dallas,
Ashley Ousley and
Delilah Wright.
The Jags had a chance in the top of the first as
Maddie Keeley got to third with two outs but a strike out stranded the runner. From then on, IUPUI would only get two more runners to second base as Loyola's Kiley Jones (3-0) kept the Jags off balance. Jones struck out eight Jaguars and only allowed one walk in the complete game shutout
Dezirae Leonard (0-4) picked up the loss, going six innings, allowing six hits and three earned runs.
The Jags will be off next weekend and will be back in action in Chattanooga, Tenn., with five games over the weekend of Feb. 23-25.
