DAYTON, Ohio – IUPUI's swimming and diving team is back in action over the weekend after taking last weekend off. The Jags will have two dual meets, taking on conference opponent Wright State on Friday (Nov. 3) and Cincinnati on Saturday (Nov. 4).
The matchup against Wright Stat will start at 5 p.m. on Friday night and will be the second time the Jags have seen a conference opponent. The first matchup with a Horizon League foe was a loss to Oakland on Oct. 20.
Wright State started its season last weekend on Saturday (Oct. 28) taking on Milwaukee and a women's only meet at Marshall. Against Milwaukee, Wright State's men won the meet 168.5-93.5 and the women lost 177-71. The women also lost in their meet to Marshall 184-64.
On Saturday, IUPUI will head south to take on Cincinnati for a morning meet starting at 11 a.m. The Bearcats have had two meets this season, with both teams picking up wins against Cleveland State on Oct. 20 before both losing to South Carolina on Oct. 21.
IUPUI is coming off of a win in their last meet against Western Illinois and in the meet prior, the Jags fell to Oakland with the men losing by one point.
Jackson Sandala currently holds the top time in the Horizon League in the 200 Free (1:40.13) and #Ben Levart is the conference leader in both the 500 Free (4:32.53) and 1000 Free (9:27.63). On the board,
Krisztian Somhegyi owns the top mark in the conference in the 3-meter with an NCAA qualifying score of 362.63 and has qualified on the 1-meter with a mark of 307.65.
On the women's side,
Rylee Dahlman has qualified for the NCAA standard in the 1-meter with the second-best Horizon League mark of 276.15 against the University of Indianapolis earlier this season.
