INDIANAPOLIS – The IUPUI swimming and diving teams will be back in action with two dual meets this weekend at the IUPUI Natatorium.
The weekend kicks off with a meet against Horizon League opponent Oakland on Friday (Oct. 20) at 6 p.m.
The Golden Grizzlies will give the Jags a good look at Horizon League competition as Oakland has won the last four Horizon League team titles on both the men's and women's side. Oakland was also picked to win both titles in 2017-18 by the coaches in the preseason poll.
This will be the third meet of the season for Oakland who lost to Michigan earlier in the year and then finished third on both the men's and women's side at the Dennis Starks Relays hosted by Notre Dame.
IUPUI will then take on former Summit League foe Western Illinois on Saturday at 1 p.m. The dual meet on Saturday will be the first competition of the season for the Leathernecks.
The Jags began its season with a dual meet against the University of Indianapolis with the women's team winning
129.5-113.5 and the men beating the Greyhounds,
149-90. In the meet against the Greyhounds, IUPUI had juniors
Olivia Treski and
Ben Levart win the 500 yard and 1000 yard freestyles. Freshman diver
Rylee Dahlman swept the women's 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions.
After her performance against UIndy, Treski was named Horizon League
Women's Swimmer of the Week.
Both meets will be free to the public and if you cannot make it to the Natatorium, follow live stats
