PHOENIX - The IUPUI men's soccer team will make the long trek west to square off with Grand Canyon on Thursday night (Sept. 15) at GCU Stadium. The match will kickoff at 10:00 p.m. Eastern (7:00 p.m. Pacific).
The match is the fifth of five straight true road games to open the 2016 season.Â

     "They're a team that's tough to play against. No matter what kind of look you try to give them during a game, they're going to have a response for that and they're very well coached and very well organized. Credit to them for getting on top of us early and staying on top of us," said Barnett after the Western Michigan match.Â
SCOUTING THE JAGUARS

Josh Gray has started three of the team's four matches in goal and has a 3.67 goals against average and 16 saves. Redshirt freshman

Ben Thornton leads the team in minutes played, having played all 360 thus far. Fellow sophomore
Nick Anderson is second on the squad with 325 minutes played. All total, 17 different Jaguars have started at least one match this season.Â
SCOUTING GRAND CANYON (2-3 overall, 1-0 home)
  Grand Canyon is 2-3 on the season and 1-0 on its home pitch this season. Offensively, Niki Jackson and Khadim Seye have a team-high two goals and Damian German has a team-high two assists.Â
    Defensively, Grand Canyon has allowed just five goals in five games and has wins over Central Florida (4-2) and Missouri State (1-0). In goal, Kendyl Day has started all five matches and has a 1.00 goals against average and 16 saves with a .762 save percentage. Â

  Thursday's match will mark the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
ALUMNI WEEKEND
  IUPUI will host an
Alumni Weekend on Sept. 23-24 surrounding the match against Western Illinois on Sept. 23. That Saturday, the team will host a meet-and-greet, followed by attending the Indy Eleven vs. New York Cosmos at 7:30 p.m. at Carroll Stadium. Â Â Â Â Â
