MINNICH NAMED THIRD TEAM SCHOLAR ALL-NORTH/CENTRAL REGION

Senior forward Tori Minnich honored by NSCAA

INDIANAPOLIS - IUPUI senior women's soccer standout Tori Minnich has been named a Women's Scholar All-North/Central Region third team selection, as announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) on Thursday (Dec. 14). The Fort Wayne, Ind.-native added to an already impressive collection of postseason accolades, as she was voted Second Team All-Summit and Academic All-Summit earlier this fall.

Minnich becomes just the second IUPUI player to ever earn Scholar All-Region honors, joining Anna Rode (2014).

Known for her academic prowess, Minnich pushed her cumulative grade point average to 3.96 while majoring in Health Sciences.

On the field, she finished her final year with a team-high 19 points on eight goals and three assists. Two of her eight goals were game-winners as she tallied the clinchers against Indiana State and Western Illinois. She had her lone multi-goal game of the year with a pair of scores in the 2-2 draw at Fort Wayne.

Minnich closed her IUPUI career tied for third all-time with 25 goals scored. She also finished fourth all-time with 58 career points and also ranks among the program's all-time leaders in multi-goal games and game-winning goals.
