AKRON, Ohio - The IUPUI women's tennis team looks for their first win of the season after taking on three tough foes to start their season. The Jags travel to Akron to take on the Zips Friday (Jan. 29) before heading to Dayton to square off against the Flyers on Saturday (Jan. 30).
IUPUI played tough before falling 7-0 in its first three matches against Big Ten teams, Illinois and Purdue and BIG EAST foe Marquette.
The Jags' first match is against an Akron team that will play its first dual of its season earlier in the day. Akron hosts Niagara in the morning before hosting IUPUI at LaTuchie Tennis Center at 3:00 p.m..
To cap off the weekend trip, the Jags head to Dayton to take on the Flyers. Dayton comes in to the weekend 1-1 with a 4-1 win against Youngstown State in their last outing. Last season, the Jags went toe-to-toe with the Flyers before falling to Dayton 4-3 in Indianapolis. The match at Dayton is scheduled to start at 5:00 p.m. at Five Seasons.

Sara Sherif leads the Jaguars with three singles wins, all having come in the fall season.
Samantha Mayer and
Mariella Pessina have two each while Sherif has a team-high three doubles wins, all coming with different partners during the fall.
