IUPUI (1-0-1) started well, earning a 110 minute scoreless draw against Eastern Illinois on Friday before rallying for a 4-1 win over UIC on Sunday. The Jaguars fell behind in the game's second minute, but pulled even almost immediately when
Krissy Kirkhoff tallied in the seventh minute, thanks to assists from
Sierra Bryant and
Tori Minnich. The match was tied at 1-1 at the break, but IUPUI needed just 14 seconds to score in the second half when Minnich contributed her first-ever game-winner off a pass from
Hayley Shelton. Later, both Kirkhoff and
Beth Parks added insurance to account for the final margin.
Sophomore goalie
Catherine Schmidt earned the win, improving her career record to 7-5-4 between the posts. Â Â
