2014-15 Softball Fall Schedule

INDIANAPOLIS – The IUPUI softball team and head coach Amanda Rivera announced today the program's fall schedule. 

This fall, the Jags will open play on Sept. 14, when they take on Marian University and the University of Indianapolis at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind. IUPUI and Marian will  play at 1 p.m., while the Jags and the Greyhounds will follow at 3 p.m.

On Sept. 20, IUPUI will head to nearby Butler to face the Bulldogs at 1 p.m., before hosting their Alumni Game at 1 p.m. at the IUPUI Softball Complex on Sept. 21.

The final weekend of fall competition will be Oct. 3-4. On Oct. 3, the Jaguars will travel to the University of Indianapolis for a doubleheader with the Greyhounds beginning at 3 p.m. The next day, the Jags will return to the IUPUI Softball Complex to conclude its fall season by hosting DePauw in a doubleheader beginning at Noon.

"The last two years we have taken some positive steps and I'm looking forward to getting our team back together and building upon what we have started," Rivera said. "We have a good mix of returners and newcomers on our roster and I know they are excited to begin the process of working towards a Summit League championship."

Rivera returns all three of her All-Summit League performers from a season ago in Ali Mosier, Roni Patterson and Taylor Chitwood. Mosier, Patterson and Chitwood are three of Rivera's 15 returners from last year and that group will mesh with seven newcomers including Indiana transfer Brooke Boetjer.
