INDIANAPOLIS - IUPUI is on spring break this week, but that hasn't slowed the schedule for the women's tennis team. In the final weekend before conference play begins, they'll take on Milwaukee and Marquette in a doubleheader in Milwaukee on Friday (Mar. 21).
The Jaguars have struggled in recent seasons against Milwaukee losing the past two by a combined 13-1.
Vanessa Whyte was the lone singles winner with a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles last January.
This year, Milwaukee had won three in a row, dropping just one point in the process, but will come into Friday's match having lost the last two.
Marquette will be an even tougher matchup. They haven't faced IUPUI the last two years, but won the previous matchup 6-1. They also have the best record among IUPUI's three opponents this weekend at 6-5, including a 4-3 over Ball State who swept IUPUI earlier this year.
Friday's doubleheader will begin at noon in Milwaukee against Milwaukee and will continue at 6 p.m. against Marquette.
