IUPUI TO HOST WESTERN MICHIGAN

The Broncos took the match 7-0 when the two teams faced last February in Kalamazoo, Mich.

3/14/2014 1:00:00 PM

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - One week after getting blown out by the nationally-ranked Hoosiers, the Jaguars face another tough test in Western Michigan. The Jaguars will have the luxury of playing at home this weekend, but are facing a Broncos team that has beaten them 7-0 the last two times they've played.

The Broncos will bring a 9-5 record into the weekend, but will take a detour to play Wright State before coming to Indianapolis. After a three-game losing streak including losses to Michigan and Arizona State, both top-30 teams, Western Michigan got back on the winning side with a 6-1 win over Northern Arizona.

IUPUI and Western Michigan last played a year ago and Vanessa Whyte, Bobbi Modesto and Rachael Bridegroom each dropped their singles match in straight sets. The teams didn't play each other in 2012, but the Broncos beat IUPUI 7-0 the previous year as well.

Despite their 9-5 record and recent success against the Jaguars, the Broncos are just 3-4 on the road this year.

Saturday's match will be played at West Indy Racquet Club and will begin at 1 p.m. ET.
