KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The IUPUI men's and women's soccer teams both recently garnered the NSCAA Team Academic Awards for the 2013-14 academic year. Teams posting a grade point average of 3.0 or higher were recognized with the annual honor.
IUPUI was one of 191 schools nationally that had both the men's and women's programs recognized.
Head coach
Isang Jacob's men's team registered a 3.05 grade point average during the 2013-14 academic year. This marks the second-time Jacob's Jaguars were awarded and just the fifth time in the program's history, joining 2004, 2007, 2010, 2012 and 2014.
On the women's side,
Chris Johnson's team had an incredible 3.50 GPA last year. It was the sixth straight year and ninth time total the Jaguars have earned the award under Johnson, including 2003, 2004, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
