DAYTON, Ohio - The IUPUI men's soccer team will face a stiff test on Sunday (Sept. 22) when the Jaguars take on the University of Dayton at Baujan Field at 4:00 p.m.. The Dayton match will be the Jaguars only match of the weekend after the Flyers defeated Ohio State on Friday (Sept. 20) by a 3-1 score.
IUPUI (0-6-2) dropped a 2-0 decision at Oakland on Tuesday (Sept. 18) night, despite an exceptional performance by sophomore goalkeeper
Eduardo Cortes. Cortes made eight stops, including multiple highlight reel efforts, but the Jaguars' attack was limited to just five shot attempts. Freshman
Evan Smith was IUPUI's top threat, firing three shots and putting two on frame.

Michael Sass leads the IUPUI offense with two goals, despite playing the majority of his minutes along the back line.

The Jaguars are slowly returning to full strength with sophomore tri-captain
Fumio Himeno having made his season debut at Oakland on Wednesday. The IUPUI lineup will also receive another jolt as fellow sophomore
Olayode Ahmed is available after missing the OU match with five early season yellow cards.
IUPUI has dropped six straight decisions after starting the year with back-to-back ties.
Dayton (6-0) has opened the year with six straight victories by a combined 17-4 margin. The Flyers have feasted on Summit League foes, beating Eastern Illinois in the preseason and IPFW and Western Illinois in the regular season. Abe Keller and Brian Richards lead UD with four goals each and Greg Enstone is one of three Flyers with two goals. Keller leads UD with four assists, two of which came in the victory over Ohio State.
In goal, Chris Froschauer has a 0.67 goals against average and 21 saves in six starts.
IUPUI is 0-1 all-time against Dayton with the lone meeting being a 4-0 loss to the Flyers on Sept. 10, 2006.
