INDIANAPOLIS – Three IUPUI women’s tennis seniors competed for the final time at home on Friday, but the Jags were handed a 7-0 loss by Detroit to fall to 5-16 on the season.

Shelby Hullett, Vanessa Whyte and Jesika Bays are the three IUPUI seniors who played their final home match at the West Indy Racquet Club on Friday, and while they would have liked to have seen their final home match end with a victory, the Titans proved to be too much to handle.

After Detroit swept all three doubles matches, the Titans went on to take all six doubles matches in straight sets.

At the top of the lineup, the Jags were able to take a few games from Detroit, but the Titans took the final three matches by identical 6-0, 6-0 scores.

The Jags return to action April 12-13 when they close out their 2013 regular season with their final Summit League cluster. The Jaguars will head to Omaha, Neb., to take on Omaha and South Dakota on Friday, April 12, before concluding their weekend on Saturday, April 13, against South Dakota State.
