INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The IUPUI women’s tennis team will play its final tune-up prior to its first Summit League cluster when it travels across town to take on local rival Butler on Friday, March 9, at 2 p.m., at the Butler Bubble located on Butler’s campus.
IUPUI comes into Friday’s match with a 3-9 overall record after dropping its last two matches against Xavier and Chicago State the past two Saturdays.
Last time out, the bottom half of the singles lineup was responsible for all three of the Jags points with
Vanessa Whyte,
Abbey Neff and
Rachael Bridegroom winning in straight sets at the No. 4, 5 and 6 positions, respectively.
The win for Neff at the No. 5 spot marked her second consecutive singles victory at the fifth singles slot.
Butler enters the weekend with a 2-10 mark following a 6-1 loss to Illinois State on March 3. The Bulldogs have dropped their last seven matches and three of those have come at home.
