INDIANAPOLIS – The IUPUI women’s tennis team continues its seven-match homestand on Friday, March 30, when it welcomes Indiana Wesleyan and Marian University to Five Seasons Sports Club in Carmel, Ind.
The Jags open the day against Indiana Wesleyan at 9 a.m., before taking on Marian at 2 p.m.
The Wildcats come into the match with the Jaguars with a perfect 16-0 record on the season and they are currently ranked 17th in the NAIA Women’s Tennis Coaches’ Top 25 Poll. Indiana Wesleyan has only played two matches since the middle of October, which were wins over St. Mary’s and Georgetown (Ky.) on March 20 and 24, respectively.
Marian University also boasts an impressive record of 18-4 heading into the weekend, including a 6-2 record so far this spring. The Knights sit just six spots behind Indiana Wesleyan in the NAIA Women’s Tennis Coaches’ Top 25 Poll at No. 23.
This weekend’s matches against the Wildcats and the Knights will be IUPUI’s final matches prior to hosting the second and final Summit League cluster of the year April 12-14 at North Central High School and Park Tudor High School in Indianapolis.
