INDIANAPOLIS – Coming off a road win in its last match at Wisconsin-Green Bay, the IUPUI women’s tennis team looks to continue upon the momentum built last week when it travels to the Dayton, Ohio, area this weekend to take on both Dayton and Wright State.
The Jags open the weekend with a 6 p.m. match on Friday, Feb. 17, at Wright State, before traveling to the nearby University of Dayton campus to take on the Flyers at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18.
After a 0-5 start, the Jags have won two of their last four matches and the doubles point has been key for IUPUI. The Jaguars failed to win a doubles match in its first five contests this season, but that has changed recently winning four doubles decisions in their last four matches helping the team to wins over Youngstown State and Wisconsin-Green Bay.
Dayton enters the weekend with a 0-5 record and it will take on Eastern Kentucky on Friday, Feb. 17, before welcoming the Jags on Saturday.
Wright State comes into the week with a 1-6 record after falling to Cincinnati, 6-1, on Wednesday, Feb. 15.
