INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI Athletics Department and Office of Alumni Relations have announced the three member Hall of Fame Class of 2012. The 2012 class will be comprised of Bill Kulsrud (meritorious), Martin Reedus (men's basketball) and Justin Wenger (men's golf).

Kulsrud earned a meritorious honor for his long-time service to the department as the Faculty Athletic Representative to the NCAA, a role in which he served from 1993 through 2007. His ties to the IUPUI Athletics Department began in 1982 when he joined the Intercollegiate Athletics Advisory Board and he later chaired the Athletics Advisory Committee beginning in 1993. Kulsrud was instrumental in the program's rise from NAIA to NCAA Division I status and he was the chair of the Visual Identity Committee which changed the nickname to the present day Jaguars and devised a new logo to coincide with the move to Division I play in 1998. Kulsrud also served on a number of administrator and coaching search committee including chairing the committee that hired Ron Hunter in 1994 and current AD Mike Moore in 1996.

Kulsrud, who joined the IU Kelley School of Business in 1979, was a member of the Pan American Games Committee in 1987 when the games were played in Indianapolis. He becomes the fourth meritorious inductee into the IUPUI Hall of Fame.

Reedus (1987-90) earned his Hall of Fame spot after his three-year career saw him total 1,123 points, 469 rebounds and 399 assists. He remains third on IUPUI's all-time list in assists and 14th in career rebounds. His 160 assists his junior year still rank as the fifth-highest single-season total in school history and the 6-foot-1 guard earned Honorable Mention All-America honors following his senior season after averaging 14.7 points per game to go along with his team-high 5.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. His senior season he helped the Metros to a 23-14 record and a spot in the NAIA National Tournament after winning the District 21 title. During Reedus' three seasons in an IUPUI uniform, the Metros won 60 percent of their games and he missed just one contest in his three years.

The Indianapolis-native also ranks among IUPUI's career leaders in field goal percentage (54.4 percent) and steals (153). He becomes the 14th member of the IUPUI Hall of Fame tied to the men's basketball program.

Wenger (2002-07) becomes the third inductee in as many years from the men's golf program after a standout career saw him earn 2007 First Team Academic All-America honors and finish among the school's all-time leaders in rounds played (86.5) and career stroke average (76.40). His career-low round of 67 is tied for third all-time and is just one shot off the school record while his career-low 36-hole 144 is tied for 11th on IUPUI's all-time list. Wenger was a key cog on IUPUI's 2005 NCAA Tournament team, helping the Jaguars to five tournament wins that season and a .718 winning percentage. Known for his academic prowess throughout his career, Wenger was a four-time Academic All Mid-Con performer and was named among IUPUI's Top 100 Students in 2006.

Wenger joins former teammates Adam Darrow and Drew Shafer as the three former men's golfers in the IUPUI Hall of Fame.

This year's class brings the Hall of Fame to 54 honorees since its creation in 1994. The 2012 group will be officially inducted on Friday, Jan. 13 with a ceremony inside Scholars Hall inside the on-campus University Place Hotel and Conference Center.
