The IUPUI women’s basketball team hits the floor for its regular-season home opener on Saturday, Nov. 19, when the Jaguars welcome St. Francis (NY) to The Jungle for a 2 p.m. start.
 
The game was originally scheduled for a 3 p.m. start but the start time has changed to 2 p.m.

  Saturday’s game vs. St. Francis (NY) was originally set for 3 p.m. but has been changed to 2 p.m.

  Help IUPUI Jam the Jaguars Pantry this weekend as it will be accepting non-perishable food items to donate to more than 15 nonprofit organizations and churches in order to fill up their pantries with plenty of food for their patrons, just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.

  By donating a non-perishable item, fans will receive one ticket for free admission.
 
 - 
  Free t-shirts and tote bags will also be available while supplies last.
 
SCOUTING THE TERRIERS

  St. Francis comes into Saturday’s match-up with an 0-2 record following a 16-point loss at Army on Wednesday, Nov. 16.

  Similar to the Jaguars, the Terriers have a slew of newcomers on their roster featured by eight freshmen.
 
 - 
  Jessica Kaufman, a freshman from Melbourne, Australia, leads the team in scoring and rebounding averaging 11.5 ppg and 7.0 rpg through two contests.
 
 - 
  St. Francis has struggled from three-point range early in the season, shooting 23.3 percent (7-of-30) and opponents have been to the line 22 more times.
 
 - 
  Turnovers have plagued the Terriers as they average 21.0 per game compared to 14.0 for their opponents.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES WITH ST. FRANCIS (NY)

  St. Francis (NY) leads the all-time series against IUPUI, 1-0.
 
 - 
  The Terriers won the only meeting between the schools, 63-55, last season in Brooklyn Heights, N.Y.

  During that match-up, Janna Eichelberger led the Jags in scoring and rebounding with 14 points and 8 rebounds.

  The Terriers had four players score in double figures and shot 47.6 percent from the field and 53.3 percent from three in the win.
 
HOME OPENERS

  The Jags are 6-6 in home openers since joining the Division I ranks during the 1998-99 season.

FRESHMAN DEBUT

  Nevena Markovic came off the bench and provided a spark for the Jaguars in its 75-45 loss to No. 21 Purdue.
 
 - 
  The Boilermakers didn’t have an answer for Markovic, who hit  4-of-9 shots from the field, including 3-of-4 from downtown.
 
 - 
  The Wheaton, Ill.-native scored 11 of her team-high 14 points in the first half, accounting for half of the Jags first-half point total. IUPUI trailed nationally-ranked Purdue 28-22 at the half.

  Markovic’s 14 points are the most points scored by a freshman in her debut since Janna Eichelberger scored 15 points in her first game against Northern Illinois on Nov. 14, 2008.
