INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI men's soccer team will be kicking off Super Jaguars Week presented by Indiana Members Credit Union when it hosts crosstown rival Butler University on Tuesday (Oct. 4) at 7:00 p.m.. The match has been coined "Pack the House" Night as free giveaways will include t-shirts, rally towels and hacky sacks. In addition, a live DJ will provide entertainment both before and after the match.

IUPUI students with a valid JagTag and youths ages 13-and-under will be admitted for free. For those unable to attend, the game can also be viewed online as part of the IUPUI LIVE! subscription service as Greg Rakestraw calls the action.

The Jaguars (1-7-2) are in need of some home cooking after having played their last eight matches away from home. Head Coach Isang Jacob's team opened the year with an impressive 1-0 win over Liberty, but have yet to dent the win column since. Offensively, IUPUI has struggled having been blanked in its past four outings and in seven of 10 games this season. Junior Kyle Hyland and senior Perez Agaba lead the way with three points apiece, while Matt Guy and Sam Fuller have also tallied this season.

Defensively, the Jaguars have been stout led by senior goalkeeper Tyler Keever. The Indianapolis-native has a 1.37 goals against average and made 42 saves in his 10 starts. The Jags have yielded only 14 goals this season as Keever has been credited with a pair of shutouts.

Butler (5-3-1) is led offensively by Austin Oldham, who enters play with five goals and three assists in nine games. Zach Steinberger has delivered four assists for first-year head coach Paul Snape's squad, which has been outscored 18-16 by its opponents this year. Defensively, Andy Holte and Jon Dawson have split the goalkeeping duties with Holte owning a 1.18 goals against average and unblemished 3-0-1 record in his four starts.

Tuesday's match marks the 12th meeting all-time between the two schools.

IUPUI is 1-8-2 against the Bulldogs and 1-7-2 at the Division I level. Last season, the Jags played Butler, which was ranked No. 7 nationally at the time, to a scoreless tie at the Butler Bowl. Alex Mannen put on a show in goal, making eight saves to snap the Bulldogs' 12-game winning streak to start the year.
