CARMEL, Ind. - The IUPUI women's soccer team will close out the 2011 regular season this weekend with a pair of critical Summit League matches, both with postseason implications. The Jaguars will host in-state foe IPFW at Murray Stadium on the Carmel High School campus on Friday night (Oct. 28) at 7:00 p.m., followed by hosting Oakland University at Kuntz Stadium on Sunday (Oct. 30) at 1:00 p.m.. Sunday's game can be watched via the internet as part of the IUPUI LIVE! subscription service on IUPUIJags.com. Greg Rakestraw will be calling the action and the postgame senior day proceedings will also be streamed.

IUPUI will be honoring its nine seniors following Sunday's match at Kuntz.

The Jaguars need to sweep the homestand and get some help to earn a spot in the four-team Summit League Tournament.

IUPUI (3-10-4, 2-4-1 Summit) is seemingly peaking at the right time, having claimed back-to-back road wins in the last two outings. Freshman Taylor Heidorn scored a pair of goals in the 3-1 win at Western Illinois last weekend and senior Alicia Brock tallied the game-winner. Sophomore Giselle Guzman made a career-high 11 saves and faced 37 shots to claim her second win of the year.

Heidorn took over the team lead with 12 points and is now tied with Megan Hock with a team-high five goals. In addition, senior back Margaret Allgeier enters this weekend tied for the program's all-time lead in appearances with 77. She recently passed IUPUI Hall of Famer Karrie Reising for the school record in career starts.

IPFW (5-9-1, 2-4-1 Summit) is led offensively by Lisa Underwood, who comes in having scored five goals in 12 games this season. Tylar Allison has distributed a team-high four assists and is one of three 'Dons to have started all 15 matches this season. In goal, Kristen McFadden has played the majority of the team's minutes and posted a 1.39 goals against average and 42 saves in 11 games.

Oakland (6-10-1, 4-2-1 Summit) is fresh off a dominating homestand in which it beat Oral Roberts and Southern Utah by a combined 11-1 score. Fifteen different players have scored at least one goal for the Golden Grizzlies, led by Kyla Kellermann's five tallies. Serena San Cartier has three goals and five assists in 16 games to lead the team in points. OU has used five different players in goal this season with Anne Berschbach registering a 5-5-1 record and 0.86 GAA.

IUPUI is 3-5-1 all-time against IPFW including losing a 1-0 decision to the 'Dons at Kuntz Stadium last season. The Jaguars are just 3-11 all-time against Oakland, but haven't lost to the Golden Grizzlies at home since 2004.

Sunday's match will mark the final home game for Allgeier, Alex Baer, Brock, Jenni Cardiff, Karin Demo, Lauren Gallets, Hock, Chelsi McHenry and Romy Schwaiger.
