CLEVELAND - The IUPUI men's soccer team will cap the non-conference portion of its 2011 schedule on Wednesday (Oct. 19) night when they head east to take on Horizon League leading Cleveland State at Krenzler Field at 4:00 p.m.. CSU comes in having won four-in-a-row while the Jaguars recently had a three-game winning streak snapped with a 1-0 loss at Western Illinois on Saturday.

IUPUI (4-8-2) has excelled during the second half of the season, thanks largely to a stingy defensive unit. Senior Tyler Keever is enjoying a banner year in net, sporting a 1.05 goals against average and .810 save percentage. The Indianapolis-native already has a career-high five shutouts this season and has made 64 saves in his 14 starts. In front of him, senior Galen Cassady and juniors Kyle Hyland and Joshio Sandoval have solidified the back line with their exceptional play.

Offensively, the Jags were blanked for the eighth time this year on Saturday, but have improved as the season has progressed. Perez Agaba, Ian Block and Sam Fuller are tied for the team-high with two goals with Agaba having collected a team-high five points. Senior Yogi Snider has distributed a team-high three assists from his forward spot, despite having missed four games.

Like IUPUI, CSU (6-6-1) has gotten hot of late, winning four straight on the heels of a six-game winless streak. The four wins have been by a collective 10-3 score and three have come on the road. Admir Suljevic and Aaron Adkins lead the Vikings with six goals each with the former having delivered a team-high four assists. In goal, Brad Stuver has a 1.37 GAA and four shutouts on the year.

IUPUI comes in seeking its first road win of the year as the Jags' four victories have all come at Kuntz Stadium this season. The Jaguars are 2-0-1 all-time against the Vikings including a 2-1 overtime win last October. Nate Ohmer scored the game-winner in the 96th minute and Alex Mannen earned the win in goal.
