FORT WAYNE, Ind. - After a tough start to the morning, the IUPUI women's tennis team regrouped and picked up a crucial Summit League win, breezing past Oakland, 4-1, at the Concordia Lutheran High School tennis courts on Saturday afternoon.  The Jaguars dropped their morning match to cluster host IPFW, 7-0.

IUPUI (4-17, 2-3 Summit) battled for the doubles point against Oakland, using an 8-3 win from Hunter Bullock and Shelby Hullett at No. 1 to move into position to capture the victory; after the Golden Grizzlies took the win at No. 2, Janel Seng and Alisha Cummings engaged in a tense battle for the doubles point.

The duo went up by a break and held on, claiming the point for IUPUI with an 8-6 victory.

In singles play, the Jaguars made quick work of Oakland, as Bullock set the pace with a 6-0, 6-2, blanking of her opponent at No. 1.  Hullett followed with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 3, and Jesika Bays closed the match for the Jags with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 6.

In the morning session, IPFW took the match in straight sets.

IUPUI will practice for the week before meeting Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday, April 10.  The matches will begin at 1:00 p.m. ET in Marion, Ind..
