IUPUI - Youngstown State Box Score | IUPUI - Akron Box Score

AKRON, Ohio -- The IUPUI women's tennis team went 0-2 on the weekend, falling by 7-0 scores to both Youngstown State and No. 67 Akron.  Janel Seng and Alisha Cummings picked up IUPUI's lone win, taking their match at No. 3 doubles on Friday.

IUPUI (0-10) was right in their match with Youngstown State (1-6), dropping the doubles point and extending two singles matches to super tie-breaks.

Seng and Cummings were able to record their fourth win of the season as a doubles tandem and moved to 3-1 at No. 3 with their 8-4 victory over YSU's Lauren Hankle and Hannah Patten.

In singles play, both Shelby Hullett and Jesika Bays each went to super tie-breaks before falling.  At No. 2, Hullett rallied after losing her first set, 3-6, to flip the script in posting a 6-3 second-set win.  The super tie-break went beyond its race to 10 points, but Hullett eventually fell by a break, 12-10.

After falling behind in her match, 6-3, Bays routed Patten in the second set of their match at No. 6, 6-0, to force the decisive tie-break.  The Zionsville, Ind.-native was not able to keep her momentum rolling in the super tie-break, though, as she fell, 10-5.

Playing 24 hours later at the LaTuchie Tennis Center in Akron, the Jaguars could not claim a set in their 7-0 loss to the nationally-ranked Zips, as Hunter Bullock was the lone IUPUI player to win more than a game.

IUPUI head coach Cameron Benjamin's younger sister, Jeremie, did her sister no favors in winning against Ashley Haskett at No. 5, 6-0, 6-1.

The Jaguars will be back in action on Wednesday, March 10, when they travel to Charleston, Ill., for a meeting with Eastern Illinois.  The matches will begin at 3 p.m. ET.
