MUNCIE, Ind. -- Returning to Ball State after winter weather postponed their match two days ago, the IUPUI women's tennis team fell, 7-0, to the Cardinals Thursday afternoon at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center.

IUPUI (0-5) dropped an early point in doubles when the teams of Vanessa Carna and Emily Holsapple, along with Sondra Caputo and Karlee Rush, lost their matches at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, giving Ball State (2-2) a 1-0 lead.

In singles play, the Cardinals won all five matches to sweep the contest.  Holsapple fell by a single break in the first set, 7-5, before losing 6-3 in the second set.

The Jaguars will be back in action on Friday, when they host Butler University.  The matches will begin at 6 p.m. from the Indianapolis Tennis Center.
