INDIANAPOLIS -- Competing at the University of Indianapolis Tennis Bubble, the IUPUI women's tennis team fought hard, but fell to Youngstown State Friday evening.  Vanessa Carna and Emily Holsapple narrowly dropped their No. 1 doubles match, falling in a tie break, 8-7.

IUPUI (0-8) fell into an early 1-0 hole when Sondra Caputo and Karlee Rush dropped their match at No. 2, 0-8.  Due to the Jaguars defaulting the No. 3 doubles match, Youngstown State captured the early point.

Playing at No. 1, Carna and Holsapple battled Nicole Haralambupulous and Anna Volkova to a tie-break, dropping the tie-break, 4-7. 

In singles play, Youngstown State won all five matches in straight sets.

The IUPUI women will hit the road for four straight matches, beginning with a match versus Valparaiso on Friday, Feb. 20.  The matches will begin at 4:00 p.m. CT from Valparaiso.
