INDIANAPOLIS - Sophomore Alicia Brock was named to the National Soccer Coaches Athletic Association (NSCAA) All-Great Lakes Region second team, while senior Katrina McCrory was picked to the third team, as announced by the NSCAA. The duo became IUPUI’s first All-Region performers in the program’s history. 

Brock, the 2009 Summit League Offensive Player of the Year, was a catalyst for the league’s top scoring team. The 5-foot-10 forward finished the season with eight goals and four assists and ranked among The Summit leaders with 20 points. Four of her eight goals came in Summit League play, despite missing two contests due to injury. In 2008, she was chosen as The Summit League Newcomer of the Year and Second Team All-League.

McCrory, two-time First Team All-Summit League pick, finished 2009 with six goals and five assists from her central midfield position. Three of her six goals were game-winners while her five assists tied for fourth in the league. She finished her career as IUPUI’s first-ever two-time First Team All-League selection and the program’s all-time leader in games played. 

As a team, IUPUI made its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance this past season and won a school record 17 games.
