SHREVEPORT, La. - The IUPUI men's soccer team ran its winning streak to four straight with a 3-2 overtime victory at Centenary on Saturday evening. Sophomore Yogi Snider notched the game-winner in the 99th minute for his second collegiate score.

"The boys dealt with adversity quite well," Head Coach Steve Franklin said. "Our boys hung in there and got the outcome. We went up, we went level, we got down and we came back.

"This is a tough place to play and it's always been tough for us."

After a scoreless first half, both teams opened the throttle in the second half.

Sophomore Perez Agaba put IUPUI on top in the 50th minute by beating Centenary (3-14-1, 1-5 Summit) Rennie Walker with a shot to the lower right corner of the net off assists from both Eric Weigman and Nate Ohmer.

However, the Gents rebounded with goals in the 53rd and 56th minutes to take the lead. John McHugh netted his first score of the season on a penalty kick and Ethan Miller followed with his lone score of the season when he chipped a shot over IUPUI goalkeeper Tyler Keever on a quick counter attack.

The Jags knotted the match at 2-2 in the 76th minute when a pair of freshman hooked up on IUPUI's second score of the day. Rookie Kyle Hyland sent a feed into defender Michael Wignot who headed a shot over Walker for his third score of the year.

Snider hit a 30-plus yard drive in the game's 99th minute to claim the game-winner.

"It was Yogi, part two," Franklin said, referring to Snider's first collegiate goal that he scored from nearly 40 yards out. "He hit an absolute bomb. Even their guys were walking off the field, kind of awestruck."

Both teams attempted 16 shots while the Gents had a 10-8 edge on goal. Agaba led the Jags with four shot attempts while Caleb Lindemann attempted three off the IUPUI bench.

The Jaguars will now enter The Summit League Tournament as the No. 3 seed and will take on No. 2 Western Illinois on Friday night in Rochester, Mich..
