In addition, Head Coach Chris Johnson was picked Coach of the Year for the second straight season. Senior midfielder Leslie Walker and sophomore forward Megan Hock were picked Second Team All-Summit and Abby Paul and Lisa Thomas were selected to the All-Freshman Team.

IUPUI’s six all-league honorees were tops among all Summit League schools.

Brock, the 2008 Summit League Newcomer of the Year, became IUPUI’s first-ever Offensive Player of the Year honoree and was a catalyst for the league’s top scoring team. The 5-foot-10 forward finished the regular season with eight goals and three assists, tying for fourth in The Summit with 19 points scored. Four of her eight goals came in Summit League play, despite missing two contests due to injury. She was seventh in the league in shots per game and tied for second with three game-winners. Brock earned Second Team All-Summit honors last season.

Hoffman became IUPUI’s most dependable back over the course of the season, helping anchor a defense that posted a 0.88 goals against average and seven shutouts in 2009. Her ability to play service from the back line led to her finishing with a goal and three assists including the game-winning score in a key 3-1 win over Oakland on Oct. 30. She becomes IUPUI’s first-ever student-athlete to earn Defensive Player of the Year honors and it was her first time earning All-League accolades.

Johnson garnered The Summit’s Coach of the Year award for the third in the past six years by guiding the Jaguars to a school record 15-4 mark and a share of the program’s second straight regular season title. During the season, the Jaguars recorded the nation’s second longest winning streak, reeling off 12 straight from Aug. 30 through Oct. 18. Overall, his squad was The Summit’s top team, both offensively and defensively. The Jags’ 36 goals were tops among the league’s 10 schools while the 17 goals allowed were the fewest by a Summit League squad.

IUPUI’s six All-Summit honorees set a new mark for the most in school history, surpassing the four awarded in both 2000 and 2008.

Farrell was stellar in between the posts this season, leading The Summit in goals against average (0.85) and shutouts (7), while ranking fourth in save percentage (.828) and fifth in saves per game (4.05). She continued to up her career records in shutouts, wins, minutes played, saves, matches started and matches played. Prior to this season, she was a two-time Second Team All-League honoree and she becomes the third player in school history to earn three career all-league ballots, joining Hall of Famer Karrie Reising and Tara Latella.

McCrory earned her second straight First Team All-League honor by finishing the regular season with six goals and five assists in 19 games. Three of her six goals were game-winners while her five assists tied for fourth in the league.
