KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Off to its best start since 1997, the IUPUI basketball team will head to Kansas City, Mo. to take on Kansas State (4-1) inside the Sprint Center in a non-conference tilt on Saturday afternoon. Tipoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. CST (4:00 p.m.) with the game being televised on FOX Sports Kansas City. Online audio is available by clicking the link above as Nick McCabe (play-by-play) calls the action.

IUPUI (5-1) annually treks to Kansas City to take on UMKC in Summit League play, however the Jaguars have never played at the Sprint Center. This will be the fifth different arena the Jags have played at while visiting the BBQ Capital of the World. Saturday's game will be the first-ever meeting between IUPUI and a team from the Big 12 Conference.

The Jaguars are coming off an impressive 98-67 pasting of IU East in the 2009 home opener on Wednesday. Junior Leroy Nobles led the way with 23 points and eclipsed the 500-point mark in his career along the way. Freshman Sean Esposito added 18 off the bench on six treys and Alex Young scored 16 on 7-of-12 shooting. The Jags shot 67.3 percent from the floor including hitting 11-of-17 (64.7 percent) from beyond the arc.

K-State (4-1) comes in having knocked off No. 18/21 Dayton at the O'Reilly Auto Parts Puerto Rico Shootout last Sunday. The Wildcats received votes in the national polls this week and come in ranked No. 29 in the latest RPI. Junior guard Jacob Pullen leads K-State in scoring at 16.4 points per game and UConn-transfer Curtis Kelly comes in averaging 13.8 points and a team-high 8.0 rebounds per game.

Senior Robert Glenn tops IUPUI's scoring at 18.0 points per game with Nobles chipping in 16.8 a night.
