MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- The IUPUI women's tennis team fell to 0-3 in the spring season, falling to Marquette, 7-0, Friday night at the Helfaer Tennis Center.  It was the second time in a week that the Golden Eagles had downed the Jaguars, as Marquette defeated the men's tennis team a week prior.

IUPUI (0-3) dropped the early doubles point, as Vanessa Carna and Emily Holsapple fell at No. 1, 8-0.  Sondra Caputo and Karlee Rush also fell, 8-0, at No. 2.

Leading 1-0, Marquette (3-2) clinched the match by sweeping singles play.  Competing with just four available players, the Jaguars took one game, as Caputo fell, 1-6, 0-6 at No. 4.

The Jaguars will be back in action on Tuesday, Feb. 3, when they travel north to Muncie, Ind., for a match against Ball State.  The matches are scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. ET.
