IUPUI junior middle hitter Bethany Fogler has been chosen IUPUI's Female Student-Athlete of the Month for August/September. The Fort Wayne, Ind.-native led the Jaguars in blocking for the month and entered the final weekend of September leading the Summit League in blocks.

To begin the month, Fogler was named to the IUPUI/Hampton Inn Invitational team after leading the tournament in blocks and a few days later those defensive efforts led to being named the Summit League Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 6 . During the IUPUI/Hampton Inn Invitational, Fogler set a new school record for most block assists in a three-set match with nine.

Additionally, Fogler posted four double-figure kill matches over the first month and a half of the season, including a career high 17 kills against South Dakota State on Sept. 16.
