Junior golfer Ben Engle has been named the Sahm's IUPUI Male Athlete of the Month for March 2011. The native of Floyds Knobs, Ind. had a team-best 74.67 stroke average in the Jaguars' three tournaments and helped IUPUI to a 31-11-3 record for the month.

Engle's best round came on day one of the Don Benbow Invitational in Jacksonville, Fla. on Mar. 14 when he shot a 70. He finished the event tied for 20th overall.

His best finish of the month was a tie for 17th at the Butler Spring Invitational at Prestwick in Avon, Ind., playing against opponents from the Big Ten and Horizon League. IUPUI placed tied for second, losing only to Purdue.

Engle currently ranks third in The Summit in stroke average as the Jaguars boast the league's top stroke average collectively.
