IUPUI junior women's soccer standout Megan Hock has been voted the Sahm's Tavern Female Student-Athlete of the Month for the month of August/September 2010. The 5-foot-7 Hock tallied a team-high four goals in the season's first six weeks, including netting three game-winning goals.
Hock scored twice, including the game-winner, in the 3-0 win at South Dakota on Sept. 4. Six days later, she tallied in overtime as IUPUI knocked off Western Michigan at Kuntz Stadium. She capped an impressive scoring stretch with the game-winner in the 2-1 win over Kent State on Sept. 19.
During the month, Hock took over the IUPUI career lead in game-winning goals, surpassing the mark previously held by Hall of Famer Karrie Reising. Her three game winners this season are tops in The Summit League.
With Hock helping pace the offense, the Jaguars closed the month with back-to-back wins and have recently climbed to .500 and opened Summit League play at 2-0.
