IUPUI senior men's cross country runner Aaron Kremer has been named the Sahm's Tavern Male Student-Athlete of the Month for August/September 2010. The Indianapolis-native was the Jaguars' top finisher in each of the first three meets of the season.

Kremer opened the year with a sixth-place finish at the Meijer Dayton Flyer 5K Challenge, covering the course in a time of 15:19. His best effort of the season came at the IPFW Invitational on Sept. 11 when he ran the 8K course in a school record time of 24:32.57 and placed fifth of 46 runners at that meet. His time remains the fastest 8K posted by a Summit League runner so far this season.

In doing so, he became the first IUPUI runner in school history to break the 25-minute mark in an 8K.

Kremer capped the season's first six weeks with a 22nd place finish at the Indiana Intercollegiates Meet in West Lafayette, Ind. on Sept. 17. He finished that race in a time of 25:52.40 and helped IUPUI place fifth among 22 teams competing. He was later chosen as The Summit League Runner of the Week for the first time in his collegiate career for the effort.
