Sophomore women's soccer standout #Megan Hock# has been chosen the IUPUI Female Student-Athlete of the Month for August/September 2009. The forward had five goals and two assists in the Jaguars' 10 games while helping Head Coach #Chris Johnson#'s squad to an 8-2 start to the year.
The Jaguars set a new school record by winning eight straight matches, while Hock also set a new school record by netting three straight game-winning goals early on. At Evansville on Sept. 4, Hock scored twice in the Jaguars' 2-0 win and followed that up with the game-winner at Indiana State two days later. The performance at UE was the second multi-goal game of her two-year career, both coming against the Purple Aces.
Against Detroit on Sept. 11, Hock scored the game-winning goal in overtime. Hock had both her assists in the 4-1 win over Lipscomb on Sept. 20, including setting up the game-winning goal early in the second half.
Hock was a two-time Summit League Offensive Player of the Week during the month, earning the award on Sept. 8 & 14.
