Men's soccer freshman Tyler Keever has been named the IUPUI Male Student-Athlete of the Month for the month of August/September. The rookie netminder helped the Jags to a 4-3-2 record to open the year.

Keever was a two-time Summit League Defensive Player of the Week choice in September and ranked among the league leaders in goals against average (0.70) and save percentage (.862). In his six appearances, he recorded 25 saves and back-to-back shutouts against Xavier and Centenary to close the month. 

Overall, Keever was 2-1-2 with his lone loss coming at No. 20 Louisville on Sept. 14. 

He made a season-high eight saves in a 110-minute shutout of Xavier at Kuntz Stadium on Sept. 24. Four days later, he blanked Centenary in both team's Summit League opener. 

He ended the month with a string of 244:02 minutes of scoreless play in goal.
