Senior women's soccer player Catherine Raster has been named IUPUI's Female Athlete of the Month for September 2016. The veteran forward had a team-high three goals and seven total points, leading the Jaguars to a 4-3-1 mark in eight games.
The South Bend, Ind.-native had a goal and assist in the Jags' 2-1 win over Eastern Illinois (Sept. 9), including the game-winner. She also tallied the game-winner in the Jagaurs' first-ever win over Xavier on Sept. 18 and had IUPUI's lone goal in a Sept. 25 loss at Illinois State.
Raster had a season-high seven shot attempts in the Jaguars' 1-0 win over Evansville on Sept. 16 and closed the month with a team-high 23 shot attempts, putting nine on frame.
For the season, Raster leads the team in goals (7), points (16), shots (36), shots on goal (18) and game-winners (8).
