IUPUI men's soccer junior Jordan Parron has been named the department's Male Athlete of the Month for August 2016. The Mississippi-native tallied the Jaguars' first goal of the season in the Jags' 4-2 loss at Butler on Aug. 30.

The Mississippi Gulf Coast-transfer played all 90 minutes in the season-opener at Bowling Green and came off the bench in both exhibitions to start the year. IUPUI yielded just one goal in two exhibitions, earning a draw and falling 1-0 to Evansville.
