Junior guard Darell Combs has been named IUPUI's Male Athlete of the Month for December 2015. The Chicago-native led the Jaguars in scoring in all eight games for the month, scoring in double-figures in all eight contests. 

Combs closed the month averaging 17.5 points per game while shooting 48.6 percent from three-point range and 82.9 percent from the free throw line. The 6-foot-2 guard opened the month with a 22-point outburst in a loss at Ball State (Dec. 1) and followed with 20 points in the Jaguars' win over Miami (Ohio) (Dec. 3). 

He also topped 20 points in a game at Missouri State (Dec. 10) and tallied 19 points in the Jaguars Dec. 19 victory over Southern Utah. 

Combs hit at least three threes in four of the eight games in the month, including a perfect 3-of-3 effort against Southern Utah.
