Senior libero Beth Howard has been named the IUPUI Student-Athlete of the month for September after averaging 4.62 digs per set during the month as the Jags went 7-7, including a pair of wins over Notre Dame and Indiana.

Howard was named to the Golden Dome Invitational All-Tournament Team and the Evansville All-Tournament team and recorded double-figure digs in all 14 matches during the month.

The Fort Wayne, Ind.-native recorded the fifth 30-plus dig effort of her career on Sept. 26 in a five-set win over Omaha, and that also tied for the most digs in a match in the conference this season. After adding 11 digs two days later in a win at North Dakota State, Howard was named the Summit League Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 29.
